Welcome to the Silverdale Primary School website.
Silverdale is a large community primary school with 620 pupils on roll. It is situated in the northern part of St Leonards-on-Sea. We are very proud of our school site which has extensive and beautiful grounds and very large playing fields. We are very fortunate to have an indoor heated swimming pool on site, a "rain forest" library and ICT Suite as well as a Children's Centre. Our original building dates from 1954, replacing an earlier victorian school on a site nearby, but there have been a large number of extensions added to the building in recent times which provide a stimulating learning environment for our children.
We aim to offer a dynamic, fun and stimulating learning environment, to give your child the best education possible. Our dedicated team of Staff and Governors are committed to enabling every child to reach their full potential. We continually review our practice to ensure that we keep on improving the teaching and learning in the School.
Using the menus on the left hand side of this page, you can access a variety of information about the school. This website will give you a taste of life at our school but there is no substitute for the real thing. Please come and meet us and see for yourselves!
